Natalie Jenkins (b. Bakersfield, California) is an interdisciplinary artist based in Baltimore, MD. Her work explores themes of memory, home, and western notions of womanhood. Through painting and fiber art, Natalie has been creating soft-sculptures reminiscent of everyday objects: dolls, make-up, picture frames. These plush forms are made of canvas and stuffing. Their larger-than-life scale alludes to a playfulness that is contrasted by their titles.

 

Natalie attended the Mount Royal School of Art where she received her MFA in Interdisciplinary Art from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). She received her BFA from California State University, Chico in 2022.

Jenkins has exhibited in California, including shows at the B-SO Gallery, CSUC; The Museum of Northern California Art; and The Third Floor Gallery, CSUC. She also exhibited in Baltimore City at Maryland Art Place, Leidy Gallery at Fred Lazarus IV Center, and Meyerhoff Gallery.
